Every Tuesday, from 3 July to 14 August, Pioner Open air in Sokolniki Park and Gorky Park will screen the best examples of contemporary French genre film. The festival program contains comedies, tragicomedies, melodramas, dramas, and detective stories, all of which have both become popular in their home country and been noted at international film festivals.
At the ceremonial opening of the festival on 3 July at Pioner Open air in Sokolniki Park, we will host the Russian premiere of Franck Dubosc’s “Everyone’s Here (Tout le monde debout),” starring Dubosc himself.
The festival will also include the Russian premieres of Xabi Molia’s drama “Kings for a Day (Comme les rois)” (3 July, at Pioner Open air Pioner in Sokolniki Park and Gorky Park); the adventure drama “Belle & Sebastien: The Adventure Continues (Belle et Sebastien: L’aventure continue)” with Thylane Blondeau, one of the most beautiful women in the world (17 July, at Pioner Open air in Sokolniki Park); the comedy “Dumped (Larguées)” (24 July, at Pioner Open air in Sokolniki Park), and the drama “Orphan (Orpheline)” (7 August, at Pioner Open air Pioner in Gorky Park). In addition, the festival program includes screenings of Mathieu Amalric’s “Barbara,” which premiered at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival.
All films will be screened in French with Russian subtitles.
