Dear friends, on May 21st, Pioner Open Air at Gorky Park will present the premiere of the cartoon «Cheburashka».
New stories about the famous heroes, based on the esthetics and filmed using the technique of classical puppet cartoons by Roman Kachanov and Leonid Schwartzman. The cartoon will be presented by the creative director of «Soyuzmultfilm» studio and consulting director of «Cheburashka» Mikhail Aldashin, the artistic director Mikhail Tumelya, and Larisa Brokhman, who provided the voice of Cheburashka.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the crew.
Plot: the cartoon is divided into three episodes – «Cheburashka and the Circus», «Cheburashka Goes to the Zoo» and «Shapoklyak’s Advice». These episodes follow the original story, which tells us about Cheburashka’s discovery in a box of oranges, his acquaintance with Crocodile Gena and finding friends. «Cheburashka and the Circus» is a story about friendship and dreaming. Gena and Cheburashka help a girl named Masha to learn how to walk a tightrope and fulfill her dearest wish – to become a circus performer. In the episode «Cheburashka Goes to the Zoo» Gena falls ill, and Cheburashka goes to the zoo ‘to work as a crocodile’. And in the last episode – «Shapoklyak’s Advice» – heroes come to the rescue of a magician who lost his granddaughter, and Shapoklyak opens an office of chargeable useless advice.
