Biopic about a ficticious bard who was famous in the 1960s, but now is old and poor. Once upon a time, he receives a telegram, inviting him to take part in a radio broadcast in Moscow. For Alexeev it is more of a trip to good old days, to the days when he was young, to the country that no longer exists... And maybe he has never existed either and he has lived not the life he intended to and he is a totally different person? Whereas «Nirvana» is not only a name of a fancy rock band, but also a state of soul...
Mikhail Segal — whose latest film «Short Stories» («Rasskazy») was a nice surprise for the audience and critics — and his new retro film raise the standards much higher — it is both our reply to Coen brothers and their «Inside Llewyn Davis» and at the same time it is the main candidate for the position of the last year’s «Geographer Drank His Globe Away», which was the people’s choice film of the year. The role of Alexeev is performed by Alexander Zbruyev, who didn’t appear in the cinema for a long time. Participant in the «Kinotavr» Film Festival.
