Ove is a grumpy old codger who drives his neighbors mad with his incessant complaining. He falls into a rage at the sight of litter or incorrectly parked cars. And tears an absent-minded family of newcomers, in which the father can’t even drive a nail. Ove, on the other hand, can do everything: virtuosically squeeze his Saab in between the porch and the mailbox, fix a radiator, and get a discount out of the stingiest merchant. His house and garage are always ideally organize, as are his thoughts. But why does he have a pistol…and a hook in the ceiling… and a fistful of sleeping pills? Who is he anyway, this Ove?
“A Man Called Ove” is an adaptation of Fredrik Backman’s bestselling novel and one of the biggest blockbusters in the history of Swedish film. Winner of the Cinema Audience Award at the 2016 Guldbagge Awards.
