On 28 October, Pioner Kids will host a screening of “Coco,” an animated film about the adventures of a twelve-year-old boy into the land of the dead. With Mikhail Bazlev – religious studies scholar, PhD candidate at the RGGU Center for the Study of Religion, and teacher of religious history and secular ethics at School 57 – we’ll discuss why the Celtic holiday of Halloween is so compelling and what makes it unique. After the film and discussion, children can enjoy a sanguine Halloween cocktail and baked fingers. Meanwhile, in the foyer of the bookstore, there will be tiny bats and pumpkins from Artsy Box.

This is the story of twelve-year-old Miguel, who sets off on an exciting adventure as a result of a series of comical misunderstandings. The boy must uncover a centuries-old family secret and organize a family reunion like you’ve never seen before!
