A story of a successful beautiful girl Anya. She is a post-graduate student, she gives lectures on Byron and is having an affair with a professor. But all of a sudden her life turns upside-down: in order to avoid a false accusation, she runs away, pretending to be a homeless teenager. The disguise of a teenager and the encounter with a real homeless girl Christina turns Anya’s escape into a new journey: together the girls set off for Kazakhstan.
A moving teenage drama by the Estonian director Ilmar Raag, whose watershed work was the scandalous film on violence at school («Class», 2007), after which he started making less provocative, but more touching films. The movie has premiered this spring at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York.
