LIAF is back in Russia—and this year, you can see it at Pioner starting 27 August.

The program includes eight animated films from Europe and the United States: the festival hit “Daughter” (Doch’), by Oscar winner Darya Kashcheeva; “Symbiosis,” from the Annecy Festival’s official concourse program; “Gravity,” about the search for balance; “The Coin,” awarded the best animated film at the New Hampshire Film Festival; a Swiss animated film, “The Lonely Orbit,” about the fear of loneliness; a British film, “Synchronicity,” awarded best animated film at the Florida Animation Festival; a film from the official concourse at the Venice Film Festival and the Sundance Festival, “sh_t happens,” from Czech directors Michaela Mihalyi and David Štumpf, and a British animated film, “New Year.”
