The most recent film by Arnaud Desplechin, a master of contemporary narrative films distinguished by their exceptionally personal nature. “My Golden Days” is the story of an anthropologist, Paul (Mathieu Amalric) who, in his ironic and occasionally Proustian manner, revisits the main events, time periods, and characters of his life – his brother, his teachers, and of course, his first and only true love, Esther - whom he met as a schoolboy. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
