Princess Nausicaa from the Valley of the Wind lives in a world that is going through an environmental crisis. Nature has changed beyond the point of recognition, the people who remain are constantly at war, but the greatest danger lies in the Jungle, threatening to swallow the entire world and destroy humanity. Preserving the delicate balance between nature and human falls to the good-hearted and brave Nausicaa, who has a unique gift: finding a common language with the denizens of the Toxic Jungle.

“Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind” became the “north star” of the legendary Studio Ghibli. The team behind the future studio came together while working on the film: it was produced by Isao Takahata, Hayao Miyazaki’s friend and colleague. The success of Nausicaa’s study led to the formation of Studio Ghibli, and from that moment on, the names Miyazaki and Takahata became inextricably tied with the new studio.
