In honor of the theater's reopening, screenings of Nicholas Winding Refn's crime thriller "Only God Forgives" will be held from 1–12 August. This laconic neo-noir starring Ryan Gosling has not previously seen a wide release in Russia and will be presented exclusively at Pioner.
About the film:
Julian escaped from the American justice system and now runs a Thai boxing club in Bangkok, all serving as a cover for drug trafficking. His mother, the head of a major criminal organization, arrives from the United States to collect the body of her beloved son, Billy: Julian's brother has just been killed for the brutal murder of a young prostitute. The mother, consumed with rage and a desire for revenge, demands that Julian find and punish the murderers.
