15th Annual Israeli Film Festival

All over the world, people are sending out “messages in bottles” – that is, they are leeching their video clips on the endless sea of the Internet. The majority of them get lost in the cloud of indifference. Except, that is, for Princess Shaw. Samantha Montgomery is 38 years old, lives alone in New Orleans, and works as a nurse in a retirement home. At night, Samantha turns into Princess Shaw, who sings heartfelt songs in nearly-empty bars and publishes her videos on YouTube. As luck would have it, one of her subscribers turns out to be Kutiman (Ophir Kutiel), an Israeli musician, who mixes together video clips from all over the world to create masterpieces. Princess Shaw never imagined that her videos could take over the Internet.

An outstanding documentary film about a diem-on-her-luck singer and an unlikely fan of her work. Best foreign film at the Biografilm Festival (2016), and audience choice award at the Sheffield International Documentary Festival (2016).
