On 17 October, Pioner will host the premiere of “Russian Shorts: Issue 1”.
“Russian Shorts: Issue 1” is made up of five unusual stories. Nikita Efremov and Alexander Pal fight for the heart of a mysterious beauty in Grigoriy Konstantinopolskiy’s tragicomedy “Olesya.” In the kitchen of a high rise apartment block, a real cow appears (from the tale, “Milk” / Moloko). The heroine of the silent comedy “Out of Shape” / Ne v forme is torn between her desire to lose weight for her college reunion and contemporary food culture (with a cameo from the star of the “Exhibit” / Exponat music video, Yulia Topolnitskaya). In the life of mall security guard Leo, the eccentric Rita Uragan comes bursting in and changes him forever (the festival hit “Leo and the Hurricane” / Leo i Uragan with cameos from Alexander Kuznetsov, Anna Kotova-Deryabina and Zaza Napoli). Shamil Khamatov’s protagonist answers an important question — to lie or not, when everyone around him is lying (“Carpe diem”).
