Olli Mäki has every chance of earning the World Featherweight boxing title. In the deciding match with American Davey Moore, everyone favors him, and all he has to do is concentrate and get ready for the fight. But there’s just one problem: suddenly, Olli falls in love with a girl named Raija.
This film is dedicated to the famous Finnish boxer and only representative of his country who managed to become the European champion both as an amateur and a professional. This winner of the Un Certain Regard Prize at the Cannes Film Festival, a story about how victory is not always the most important thing in life, was filmed on 16mm in black-and-white.
