At the beginning of the 1980s, a war for the cocaine market breaks out between the Sicilian mafia bosses. One of the mafiosi, Tommaso Buscetta, tries to hide in Brazil. At the same time as the violence begins in his homeland, Buscetta is forced to observe from afar how his sons and brothers are being murdered in Palermo. He understands that he might be next. The Brazilian police arrest Buschetta and extradite him to Italy. The mafioso makes a decision that will change the mafia’s life for good: he meets with judge Giovanni Falcone and breaks the vow he gave to Cosa Nostra.
